What are your Constitutional rights worth? Delta apparently thinks $20 is enough to make ex-customers sell their birthright. This appears to be a move by Delta's Collaborator-in Chief Leo Mullin to violate the privacy of as many Americans as possible through the Orwellian CAPPS II program.
A Delta spam letter, sent on March 18th to Frequent Fliers who quit in disgust with Delta's CAPPS II involvement, offers a $20 discount voucher to those who consider their constitutional rights without value:
"We've noticed it's been a while since you last flew on Delta, and we'd like to change that by offering you savings of up to $140.
Simply book your next domestic flight on Delta using this eCoupon by April 15, 2003, and fly between April 28 and June 6, 2003 (excluding Friday, 5/23/03 and Monday, 5/26/03), and you'll get a $20 per-ticket discount for you and up to six traveling companions booked on the same itinerary...a savings of up to $140. This exclusive one-time savings is just one of the many ways we hope to welcome you back to all that Delta has to offer."
Another way Delta 'welcomes you back' is by trampling over your 4th Amendment rights. Thanks, Big Brother!
"To take advantage of this offer, use this eCoupon to book your tickets on delta.com today. Here's how:
Click GO to get started. Your eCoupon code and SkyMiles account number should already be pre-filled. Choose your flights, confirm your savings and complete your purchase! The eCoupon icon will appear throughout your purchase."
The one icon that should (but doesn't) appear during every Delta transaction is that of the Bill of Rights in flames, set alight by Leo Mullin.
The boycott is working. The American people will not sell out their country for Delta's 20 pieces of silver. Time to stop collaborating, Leo.
